As summer approaches, we’re happy to announce the changes we’ve been working on since Gilect Play’s two-year anniversary. In March, we revealed our revamped mobile website and added the option to create a free account and track playtime.
We continued to listen to your feedback and are excited to reveal even more changes for the better. We’ve been working on these features since March, and hope it makes using our website even more easy than before!
New Search
It might seem like a basic feature, but Gilect Play has been lacking a good search experience for years. We last updated our search over a year ago, and the only change made was updating the UI.
That being said, searching still had a fundamental problem: the entirety of the search was on a whole separate page of the website! Meaning if you were playing a game and pressed search, you would be taken to the search page and lose unsaved progress on the game.
We noticed that the clunky search experience frustrated users. So, as of May 2025, we’re excited to reveal our completely overhauled search! It might seem like a trivial change, but it goes a long way to ensure reliability and user satisfaction. Take a look below:
The search menu now flies in from the right and doesn’t kick you out of the game. Search results now appear immediately after you type so you can find what you’re looking for instantly.

New Games
May has been a big month for high-quality games! We’re happy to have added several new games this month, including but not limited to:
- Paper.io 2 – This is the new official version of the hit mobile game by VOODOO
- Polytrack – A low-poly but hyper-addictive racing game
- Baldi’s Basics – This highly-requested escape game will have you running in fear!
- Narrow One – An addictive online capture-the-flag game with archery
- LOLBeans.io – Similar to Fall Guys, this .io game is insanely competitive
And much more of course!
New Filters
Can’t find anything to play? Just keep scrolling! We added some new filters to scroll through on our homepage. We want to bring light to some lesser-known games, so we added new categories such as “Hidden Gems” or “Rage Inducing”.
If that doesn’t appeal to you, we also added some more silly filters, such as “Bathroom Time” for all the times you need that entertainment while sitting on the toilet, and “We Have ___ at Home” to highlight some of the goofier games on our platform. Hopefully something can catch your attention!
